For everything there is a season…
Especially one for growing up. Letting go of what you used to believe in and understanding that just because you play the part doesn’t mean that you are going to get the happy ending. Step into your own. Let go of other people’s relationships and take the risk of finding your own. There is only now. There is only you. Mimicking pretend worlds where the plot ends up how it “should” doesn’t always work. There is never a parallel because there is only one you. So stop comparing.
The constant trend of bringing people in close and finding the faults in them you wish you didn’t have either. Pushing people away and playing the victim. It’s overrated and underpaid.
Natural instinct is to cling to that which you can follow or which you can lead. To be a leader you must have patience and understanding. To follow you must have the ability to understand when to break away.
[Following someone who isn’t adding value to your life isn’t loyalty. It’s stupidity]

Last night the life of another young man was lost in Oakland. He was only 19 and was tragically gunned down. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and the families of those who have lost family members to violence. These are our friends, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles, mothers and fathers. We pay our respect.
TJ, Eric, Phat, and the many others that we have lost… you will always be remembered and loved.
